The earth is a finite planet.
As the human population and industrial activities continue to grow, excessive extraction and consumption of resources, such as minerals, fossil fuels and fresh water, has raised alarms about the sustainability of our current way of life. The extraction of these resources not only depletes the available stocks but also harms ecosystems, disrupting the delicate balance of nature and causing extensive habitat destruction.
Scarcity of essential materials will result in rising costs,
making these resources less accessible to vulnerable populations and exacerbating economic inequalities. Furthermore, major conflicts and geopolitical tensions are most often caused by competition for scarce resources.

When we toss out food, we’re not just chucking the leftovers – we’re also tossing away all the water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labour and investment in equipment
used to process, package and transport that food
are wasted.
